New Orleans Made Easy
This is one of the best travel books I’ve come across. Written by a native to the city, this book gives you an insider’s perspective to the city. So often I find travel books overwhelming, overloading the reader with information. This guide cuts straight to the point and gives you a breakdown of what’s really worth your time on a visit, and while it’s concise, the writing is still engaging and full of personality.

A short and sweet New Orleans Travel Guide

I read this because I have an interest in New Orleans, I have some online friends of old who live there and wanted to know more about the city. This book is a fantastic little taster of what the city has to offer. It’s culture and sights, sound so tempting i may book a trip there after all.

Of course thanks to this guide I have some great ideas on places to stay, eat and entertain myself. It’s not the most detailed travel guide I’ve read, but sometimes you don’t want to read three hundred pages of history, you just want to know where to eat! Really enjoyed this.

An insider’s guide to some great things to do in NOLA
This is a personal introduction by a local resident to seven aspects of New Orleans that the author particularly loves, rather than a general guide to the city. You will need another source if you want broader information. But we recently had a week in NOLA and mostly hung out in the Quarter and its vicinity, so found the book really useful. It’s a quick and easy read that is packed with a lot of useful information and tips.

A Painting of New Orleans
I could feel, and hear the rumbling of the street cars and street musicians. I could taste and see the elegance of the restaurants. Which hotel would you have staid in? I think I might choose The Windsor Court for it’s English style. The book would have been even more than superb if it had photos for those of us in Europe who have not been to the city. I am more than impressed with Mr Bienvenu’s personal guide of obviously a great place to visit.

Anxious to go there now!

This was a great guide. It’s simple and to the point not long and drawn out. You can tell the author is a native and the history rendered after each suggestion made me even more excited to check out these places. I just want to say Thank you to the author. I’m headed to NOLA with my bestie for mother’s day and after reading this book, we can’t wait!
