This is a restaurant, bar and jazz club all under one roof. After you eat one of the best juiciest burgers in the city or feast one some classic creole cuisine, you can then sit down in a very intimate atmosphere and hear some fabulous music. Snug is located in three rooms of a renovated 1800’s storefront located in the Faubourg Marigny, just outside the French Quarter.

Snug Harbor boasts modern jazz greats as well as traditional jazz musicians. It has become a mecca for jazz lovers and musicians alike. New Orleans is one of the best places in America to witness the live music culture in a city setting.  While most people think of New Orleans jazz as a single origin jazz music style, the city’s music is rooted in various traditional trends and music styles.

The city pulses with the sounds of some of the world’s most talented musicians playing eclectic music ranging from traditional jazz to zydeco, brass band music, blues, funk, and R&B. Until he passed away in 2020 you could hear on the piano, once a week, Ellis Marsalis, father of famed Grammy winning jazz and classical trumpeter Wynton.

Snug Harbor features music 7 nights a week, primarily New Orleans modern jazz. Because this club’s music room is so small and intimate it’s a good idea to call ahead and make a reservation. Children 13 and up are welcome in the audience here.
